Short Review
On the 13th of February 2026, a team of D²iCE researchers, Anam Manzoor, Daniel Jakab, Joe Murtagh, Mohammed Tarek, Nikolaos Theodoridis, Ruan Robert Bispo dos Santos, Sanjay Kumar, Dr. Mahammad Irfan, Dr. Reenu Mohandas, Dr. Sushil Sharma, Dr. Tim Brophy and Prof. Ciarán Eising joined the Sensing and Perception for Automated Systems Workshop organised by Prof. Valentina Donzella, Professor in Sensors and Perception for Intelligent Systems and Head of the Sensing and PeRception for INtelliGent systems (SPRING) Research Group at Queen Mary University of London to engage and collaborate in the area of Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS).

Anam Manzoor presented methods designed to “Enhance the perception capabilities of Surround-view fisheye cameras in the Autonomous driving industry”
Daniel Jakab presented the “Impact of Spatially Varying Optical Artefacts on Automotive Fisheye Perception” summarising research conducted during his four-year PhD.
Joe Murtagh presented “Quantifying Geographic Domain Shift in Automotive Perception”
Mohammed Tarek presented “Automotive Real-time online Tracker using ByteTrack”
Nikolaos Theodoridis presented “Evaluating and Interpreting Vision-Language Models in Traffic Scenes”.
Ruan Robert Bispo dos Santos presented “LiNO: Lightweight Network for Occupancy Estimation”
Sanjay Kumar presented “Robustness in BEV perception tasks under adverse weeather conditions”.
Dr. Mahammad Irfan presented on “Multi-Sensor Fusion and SLAM System for UAV Navigation in GPS Denied Environments”.
Dr. Sushil Sharma presented on “Bird’s-Eye View Based Multi-Agent Trajectory Prediction for Autonomous Driving with Segmentation and Sensor Fusion”
