D²iCE Researchers at the 11th Scientific Meeting of the International Society for Research on Internet Interventions

D²iCE Researchers organised and participated in the 11th Scientific Meeting of the International Society for Research on Internet Interventions. Darragh Glavin and Eduardo Maekawa presented their work on use of machine learning for mental health, Pepijn van de Ven acted as international co-chair and delivered a Presidential Address, and the whole team delivered a well-attended workshop.

The 11th scientific meeting of the International Society for Research on Internet Interventions (ISRII11) took place in Pittsburgh, PA, USA from 18—21 September 2022. 325 delegates from across the world gathered in the majestic surroundings of the University of Pittsburgh’s University Club to partake in a high-quality programme delivered by some of the top researchers in internet intervention research. Pepijn van de Ven acted as International co-chair for this conference together with Prof. Frances Kay-Lambkin and local chair Dr. Bruce Rollman. The team, along with collaborators from the VU University Amsterdam and Leuphana University Lüneburg delivered a well-attended workshop on Machine Learning for Mental Health. Darragh Glavin and Eduardo Maekawa presented their work on the use of machine learning to improve the predictive power of clinical and socio-economic questionnaires for the recognition of depression. Their presentations led to interesting discussions and potential collaborations with the scientific community in attendance. Pepijn van de Ven delivered a Presidential Address as ISRII President.
